Jason Deshotels is a passionate designer who is never truly happy without a creative outlet. Deshotels creates art in whatever he does, from gardening to designing jewelry. An award-winning artist at an early age, Deshotels grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana, the heart of Cajun country. Much of his art is inspired by this vibrant, exciting place that has it’s own unique culture. The Cajun people enjoy life to the fullest; they celebrate the “joie de vivre” or the joy of life. Deshotels brings his Cajun culture into his work through bold use of color and design.
Jason Deshotels creates works of art that are meant to be seen and admired. Sensuous shapes that bend the traditional look of jewelry that makes the wearer feel sexy and confident. Deshotels is inspired by Georgia O’Keefe’s sensual organic lines and Salvador Dali’s surrealism. Jason Deshotel's designs have more than meets the eye.
Deshotels currently resides in beautiful Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico meet the brilliant white quartz sand. The pieces are designed to be worn everyday in this beach paradise so the wearer can experience the “joie de vivre”
